SENIOR HIGH  (GRADES 11-12)

Senior High School is two years of specialized upper secondary education; students may choose a specialization based on aptitude, interests, and school capacity. The choice of career track will define the content of the subjects a student will take in Grades 11 and 12. Each student in Senior High School can choose among four tracks: Academic; Technical-Vocational-Livelihood; and Sports and Arts. The Academic track includes three strands: Accountancy, Business, Management (ABM); Humanities, Education, Social Sciences (HESS); and Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM).

STRANDS

STEM

Designed to prepare students who express keen interest in taking college degrees focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), senior high school students will be exposed to learning activities that will hone their knowledge and skills in analyzing data, understanding real-world impacts, and conducting research.

Senior high school graduates of the STEM strand can enroll in the following undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

ABM

The Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand would focus on the basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations, and all things that are accounted for. This is definitely a suggested strand for those who have their eyes set on creating a business in the future or working in the business sector.

GAS

GAS is perfect for students who are still undecided about what course they will take in college. Since GAS students are required to pick electives from other academic strands, they are expected to be skilled in different subjects. Usually these students must be a “jack of all trades” type of individual or simply those who can do virtually everything. This means that they should possess the strengths of the STEM, HUMSS, and ABM students in their respective areas of expertise.

HUMSS

HUMSS exposes its students to a variety of critical thinking and comprehension activities throughout the educational process, allowing all students to develop a social awareness of their surroundings. A strand that will offer students a general idea of what their further education will entail.

TVL

The subjects on this track focus practical knowledge and job-ready training. Once you take and finish a strand on this track, you will be given the TESDA National Certificate. If your goal is to work immediately or be eligible for certified jobs after senior high school, this track is perfect for you.
